Liverpool contemplating on signing salah from Roma!
Liverpool is on the verge of acquiring the services of Egyptian player Mohamed Salah according to reports.
Salah left his native Egypt on Tuesday and is likely to have his medical at Liverpool’s Melwood base. Personal terms are believed to have been agreed with the 24-year-old.
Roma value the Egyptian winger at £35m and a compromise is understood to be close to agreement.
The deal will bring to an end a period of negotiations between Liverpool and Roma that began at the start of the month and saw the Serie A club reject an initial £28m bid. With Jürgen Klopp determined to sign Salah an increased amount, which could rise with add-ons, was eventually offered.
Salah has been a long-term Liverpool target and he almost moved to Anfield in January 2014 when Brendan Rodgers was manager
At the time, Liverpool were in advanced talks to sign him from Basel but he joined Chelsea in a £11m deal instead, where it did not work out for the forward.
He would go on to make only 19 appearances for the Stamford Bridge club and had spells on loan with Fiorentina and Roma, who he joined on a permanent deal in August 2016.
Salah was a regular starter as Roma finished runners-up to Juventus last season, scoring 15 goals in 31 league appearances.
