The marriage of a newly wedding couple has hit the rocks as the groom just found out that his bride has no private part.  A man told an Ugandan Television station that he watched a woman drown and couldn’t save her because he had his phones in his pockets. A Twitter user shared a photo of the man’s interview with the caption: “This man watched a woman drown. He said he could swim & thought of jumping into the water to save her. But he had his phones in his pockets.” The Twitter user explained that the woman who hawked handkerchiefs was being chased by the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) when she fell into the river. The man was at the scene of the incident and was interviewed by a TV crew. He told the press that he saw the woman drown, but had no one to give his phones to so that he could jump in to save her. Man Murders Mom Over His ‘Disappearance’ Charm in Plateau State A teenage boy, Agugu Adau has killed his mother over her refusal to hand him over a “disappearing” charm he claimed was his inheritance from his late herbalist father. News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that Agugu committed the crime at his Kisaghyip village farm in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau. According to a family source, Agugu, after killing his mother, removed the sum of N20,000 from her blood-sucked clothes and used it to buy a mobile phone, a shirt and a pair of slippers. No fewer than 10 people have died, while 7, 342 others were reported displaced by flooding in Plateau between May and July this year. This was disclosed in Jos by the Executive Secretary of the Plateau State Emergency Agency (SEMA), Hassan Barde, on Friday. According to him, 832 villages were submerged while 1,153 houses were destroyed by flood during the period. He named Jos North, Jos South, Bokkos, Kanke, Wase, Shendam, Mikang, Jos East, Langtang North and Langtang South as the worst hit areas. Barde said, however, that the figures were not static because the rains were not yet over. He added that the value of the damage was estimated at N5.2 million.
