Boko haram: after 3 years, Baga people begin supply of various dry fish to various parts of borno and Nigeria

The supply of fish from Baga to various places within and outside Borno State officially commenced on Tuesday, August 1st at Doron Baga Fish Market.
This is coming three years after Nigerian Army restricted the movement of the fish supply due to insurgency of the Boko Haram.
Before the insurgency disrupted business activities in the North-East, Baga has been the major supplier of dry fish to most parts of the country and beyond with an average of seven trailers and lorries loading dried fish to different destinations daily.
The Caretaker Chairman of Kubawa Local Government Area, Hon. Habib Kekeno commended the effort of security agencies in the area and urged the fishermen to use this opportunity to develop the local government and state. He also called on them to obey the instruction of the Nigerian securities.
The occasion was also attended by Hon Garba Dan Cadi SA to HE Gov Kashim, District head of Baga Waziri Ibrahim Minister, DPO, Councillor Doro ward Alhaji Waziri Doro , Coucillor of Baga Yusuf Baba Idris , Chairman Borno state NURTW, Nigerian security agencies and other officially of the local government .
